Pineapple Cinnamon Kombucha

Pineapples contain bromelain, an enzyme that studies show can reduce the inflammation and swelling that occurs in conditions, such as sinusitis, sore throat and arthritis flare-ups, according to the NIH. When paired with cinnamon, a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory and our potent kombucha, this combination is a super food triple combo!

Kombucha tea is a fermented drink made with tea, sugar, a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) brewed and enjoyed for 2000 years. The result can taste like something between sparkling apple cider and champagne, depending on what kind of tea you use.

As the Kombucha culture digests the sugar it produces a range of organic acids like glucuronic acid (by product is glucosamine), gluconic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid etc; vitamins, particularly B vitamins and vitamin C; as well as amino acids, enzymes. And of course there are all the benefits of the probiotic microorganisms.

Mint Chocolate is a decadent winter flavour that combines the goodness of both ingredients.

Chocolate is rich in antioxidants, flavanols and minerals such as magnesium, calcium and iron. It is also a great source of four scientifically proven bliss chemicals – serotonin, tryptophan, tyrosine and phenylethylamine. 

Mint contains an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent called rosmarinic acid which is effective against allergy symptoms. It is also a perfect natural relief for the common cold, indigestion and abdominal pain.

Milk Kefir is a fermented milk drink which originated from the north Caucasus Mountains. It is fermented from kefir grains which are a combination of lactic acid bacteria and yeasts in a matrix of proteins, lipids and sugars. It tastes like your regular Greek Yogurt with lots of probiotics and nutrients.

Storage Instructions and Best By Date: Based on experience, our kefir bacteria love chocolate and might be more active when compared to other flavoured brews. If you are not consuming within 2-3 days upon receiving your order, please store in the freezer and allow to defrost in the chiller before consuming. If you store them in a regular fridge for more than 5 days, they will bloat and accumulate gas. When this happens, please open with caution over a sink. Best By Date is within 1 week of being in a 2-4 degC fridge and 1 month if stored in the freezer.

For kombucha, Best By Date is 1 month of being in a 2-4degC fridge.
