A new take on a classic favorite, our Jasmine green tea（茉莉花绿茶 / 香片) was a hit when we debuted it in Chinatown! Jasmine tea, made from infusing dried jasmine petals with green tea, produces unbelievably delicious kombucha...why didn't we think of this sooner? Polyphenols in jasmine green tea act as antixoidants to combat oxidative stress in cells and promote better heart and brain health.
Kombucha tea is a fermented drink made with tea, sugar, a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) brewed and enjoyed for 2000 years. The result can taste like something between sparkling apple cider and champagne, depending on what kind of tea you use.
As the Kombucha culture digests the sugar it produces a range of organic acids like glucuronic acid (by product is glucosamine), gluconic acid, lactic acid, acetic acid etc; vitamins, particularly B vitamins and vitamin C; as well as amino acids, enzymes. And of course there are all the benefits of the probiotic microorganisms.
